Bike to SchoolKruse Bike to School Day is on Wednesday, 5/8!

Students and families are invited to bike to school on this day and can enjoy fun bike-related activities before and after school.  Students who do not have a bike and/or helmet can still participate by borrowing them from the Fort Collins Safe Routes to School program during the after school events. 

 

Morning Events 8:00am - Students and families are invited to ride your bike to school and join us on the North side of the school for the following events: 

  • Group Ride on the Power Trail with Mr Samples @ 8:20am

  • Snacks and beverages for student riders and their families

  • Bike Mechanics from Safe Routes will check students bikes from 9am-Noon.  If you are interested in having your student's bike checked, please leave the bike unlocked.  Bikes will be locked later in the day.   

After-school Events 3:30pm–5:30pm: - Event starts in the Kruse Gym for a safety check and a hand stamp that allows students to enjoy the following events on the North and West side of the school:  

  • Helmet Decorating 

  • Bike Rodeo - Bike Skills Course 

  • Group Ride on Power Trail with Mr Samples @ 4 and 4:45pm

  • Learn to Ride Course 

  • Off-Road Bikes Skills Course 

  • Kona Ice! 

  • Information on Harmony Underpass presented by the City of Fort Collins


We are in need of volunteers to help the Safe Route staff with the various activities.
