I have three children, all who attended Kruse and are now successfully navigating higher grades. My children are my pride and joy, and when you don't find me in my classroom thinking up fun ways to teach the littles here, I am usually at a ballpark or on a soccer field cheering on my own children. My daughter, Cedar, is my oldest, and she is active in Interact (local community service club), academics, and competitive softball. My two sons are Fisher and Tanner. Fisher is also an Interact member, and plays anything that has a ball or puck, but is partial to baseball especially, as well as basketball. Tanner is the youngest, and he is involved in Science Olympiad, loves construction, and is an avid soccer player who plays goalkeeper for his Arsenal team.
We also have two BIG dogs. Hugo is a labloodhound, and quite possibly the biggest sweetheart on the planet. Tracker is our German Shepherd, and he is the resident worrier, and also a love bug.
I first got my Associates Degree from Front Range Community College in Early Childhood Education, to teach preschool.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Arts in Behavioral Science, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Teacher Education at University of Northern Colorado.
I call myself a Colorado native, because technically I am! That's a bit misleading though since I have lived all over the west before coming back to settle in Northern Colorado.
Fort Collins is my hometown, and I have lived in Northern Colorado since 1987.
The kids and I love to hike, garden, watch movies, go to the theater, and play games together. My favorite pastime is to spend time with them, whether that's cheering them on from the sidelines, or playing board games or watching movies at home.
Be the change you wish you see in the world. - Ghandi
I love books by Jodi Picoult, but I will read almost any historical fiction.
Children's books are also still engaging at my age, and I love that I have an excuse to watch all the new children's movies (you know, so I can talk about it with my 5 and 6 year old friends).
The Colorado Rockies, of course!
